Oxford Gigs started on 4th July 2009 by Jon Goodgame, Darren Cole and Lyndsey Cole whilst at a family BBQ. The idea came from Jon who came up with the idea of putting on a music festival here in Oxford.

Something we feel Oxford seriously lacks is a big music festival eventually to rival those of Leeds, Chelmsford, Reading and co.  We're not saying we are going to do this overnight but in time our aim is to put Oxford on the map for your annual festival choice.

Oxford has a massive music following with bands fighting for gigs to show what they've got and promote themselves on a bigger stage. We want to help them and in the process raise awareness and funds to those charities we have choosen like Make a whish foundation and Sobell House Hospice.

Between now and next summer we are going to put on charity gigs to raise enough money to organise the summer festival so please stay posted and join our facebook group (Oxfordgigs).

We will of course be advertising future events here on the site with the bands playing and some info on them.
